Spring Granny Square Swap

Impeccable yarn 4 was on sale at Michael's today for $1.99 a skein. Normal price $3.49. I picked up 4 colors and I may go back for more at that price.

My squares were actually only 7 inches~ I measured them tonight when I got home.

The colors I got are lavender for new little flowers, grass for new little shoots and leaves, forest for older grass and background, and aran for snow leftover or whatever. I am pretty happy with them. I have one pattern from the book if I modify it I can make it into a 6 incher.

Or maybe do the granny classic. I kinda like the look of it too. I am stoked now!!!!!!

I am so happy I am in this swap.

One of the students brought me 10 squares today so we could make sure they were ok, they are doing so good! We are just collecting squares until we know how many we need for everyone for the swap. We don't go back until Jan 5 for me and Jan 9 for the kids. They are doing a great job!

Kate, That is great. I'm so glad they're taking an interest in the swap. I have 15 blocks done already and plan on taking a photo of them this week as soon as I play "catch up" with chores left until after the holidays. I usually make double but if this keeps on I'll have triple by closing. I like to watch TV but I can't just sit and watch, my hands have to be doing something.

It's been a hectic holiday season for me so not much time to post. I miss my crochet chatting.

I think I'm going to print the cool color wheel out and take it to the store w/ me when I finally get around to having enough time to buy some new yarn. I have some pretty purple and lavender in my stash, but not happy w/ the green yarn I have. I haven't had time to start my squares as I am still crocheting other gifts. I need to get my booty moving b/c the list is growing.

It's been busy for me too. Am in the middle of learning a new publishing software since I take over the Masonic newsletter at my husbands lode the end of this month and I have to get my evening dress made for installation and make 16 bouteniers(spelling) and 10 wrist corsages by the 21st. If I'm not on here much that is the reason.

Happy New Year to everyone.

I was just about to start a square with White flowers in the center, will that be ok?
