Hey everybody!!!

It's been a hectic holiday season for me so not much time to post. I miss my crochet chatting.

For those of you that have questions IF your yarn color is right for the spring swap, just click the link above to see the color scheme for the spring swap.

All the rules, guidelines, deadlines etc... can always be found on page 1 post 1 of this thread.

I think I'm going to print the cool color wheel out and take it to the store w/ me when I finally get around to having enough time to buy some new yarn. I have some pretty purple and lavender in my stash, but not happy w/ the green yarn I have. I haven't had time to start my squares as I am still crocheting other gifts. I need to get my booty moving b/c the list is growing.

I was just about to start a square with White flowers in the center, will that be ok?

Hi Rancher~ Sorry I haven't been online much over the holiday and I keep having internet issues, so I'm glad Betty answered your color question. She's the boss lady for this swap.

Yea, I was just bringing the color wheel forward for everyone to see since it was posted so many pages ago and not listed on page 1 w/ all the rules etc.... I do better with a guide line to go by. You are so right that white is a true cool color. You are so funny that your friend is a real artist and not a wanna be. That just cracked me up!

Glad we can use it. It will be a nice contrast. I still haven't started one square for this swap yet.

LOL I put that in there because she is a well known Western Artist, she's done a lot of work for Michael Martin Murphy, Toby Keith, and a lot of others,, yet her BF insists on calling her artwork her little hobby,,, she's done it for over 55 years and made a good living at it... but it's her little hobby she likes to mess around with lol.

My squares are done; 70 for the swap and 7 pink or pink & purple ones for Writer's club. I'll divide the swap squares by the number of participants, then add the remainder to the ones for the club. I'll send them off as soon as we hear the number of participants because I leave mid-March.

I got word today that two of my club members that were going to do this with us moved over the holidays! Two of my best girls!!!!! AGHAGHAHGHAGHAGH!!!! I'll miss them! So right now it's me and 3 of the members. We have some really pretty squares done too, they are working so hard. If any of ours are not in the right colors or shades just send them back to me and I'll come up with replacements for them to have. I don't want to tell them I'm not going to send or use any because it would break their hearts, they are young and trying so hard. I'll take a few pics of what is here so far and post them.

Thank you Sunny, I really appreciate that. Sometimes I have to remind people that with us you are dealing with 3rd - 6th graders and not adults who have been doing it a long time. On here it's not usually a problem, but I'm protective about the kiddos feelings.

I'm trying to do squares for a birthday present for my nephew too. I am making red, white, and blue 5" squares for an afghan for the sofa back. I'm getting hand cramps!
