Spring Granny Square Swap

I've added you to our list and welcome. We will enjoy hearing from you and adding to our conversations. At the present we have 15 signed up but writer of words has five of her students signed up making it 20. I haven't added them yet to the list as she thinks there will be more. Her students are getting a kick out of this and they have until the 28th of Feb. to decide. After that I will close the sign up and the blocks will be due to me by the 28th of May. That will give me time to get all the blocks mailed out and the ones to her before school lets out. Last time several of us doubled the number so please feel free to double or triple the number if you want. I've started mine and have about ten finished. Like you, I've been crocheting and knitting for years. I've been knitting 68 years and crocheting only 60 or so.

Again, welcome we love having you and in the past the swaps have been fun. Also, I want to add that sometimes something happens to someones blocks. They just don't receive them. When this has happened the rest of us have sent blocks back so that person gets his or her share.

Thanks, can't wait til we're done. I learned knitting years ago from my ex 's step sister . Same with crochet. Been at it for over 40 years. I find it relaxing.

I still have to find a square I am happy with, then do half a dozen prototypes.

Believe it or not I have yarn from over 36 years ago still in the package.. Sayelle , Kmart has a sale and you should have seen the crazy women fighting over it. I've two packages of 6 skeins in dark and light orange. My favorite color btw. I've also got bags and bags of yarn. I like to do Grannies in lots of colors.

This should be fun,

Where did you get the picture? It reminds me of the Chinese and Japanese who light candles for their departed loved ones and float them on a river.
