Hi back. I know what you mean about tired. I spent the day in the big city and I hate traffic and crowds so I am wore out. It rained most of the afternoon but not hard which was good since we don't get much rain and people just don't carry umbrellas.

HELLOOOOO! Any one home? It's dead around here. Guess everyone is too busy to post. I would be too except my planned morning outside has been cancelled due to wind. I will reorganize and do inside work. I have presents to wrap, baking to do before I go to my daughters on Thursday. Can't go see the grandsons without Grandma's cookies in hand. My daughter too for that matter. I plan on taking some homemad bread also. I finished another afghan last night with no ones name on it at this point so now I can start on the spring blocks since I have my yarn. I still have some work to finish on some fleese lap robes my daughter asked me to make. My grandson plays soccor and she gets cold sitting there watching him. My day is planned. I'm sure you are all busy, 'tis the season. If I don't make it back on here before Sunday everyone have a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday if you don't celebrate Christmas.

I have finally gotten motivated in to the Christmas Spirit... sort of!
Today, I was baking Pumpkin Bread (the recipe I found somewhere on here the other day..!) and Challah Bread for the kids (they learned about it in Youth Group and LOVED it!)!! Have made a game plan for cookie baking too!

Trying to finish Prezzies, but seem to be in a slump with the crochet... I think I got SO busy before the Christmas Fair, that ALL I wanna do is rest for now. At least I can Thank my lucky stars the incomplete projects are those of my family..! Nah!!! Doesn't Really make me feel better..

Dear Fellow BYC Crocheters,

I'm getting that a lot of us are tired.

Please learn from my experience. A sewing machine is like any other power tool. Today I was putting a new binding on an old blanket. It was slipping, sliding, bunching up. I kept going until my thumb got caught in the mechanism, impaled by the needle. A totally freak accident but I wonder whether being tired had anything to do with it. Fortunately the blanket absorbed the blood so it didn't go down the machine's little throat.

I'm fine but for a sore thumb; can't work on squares tonight. Ok, so I'm obsessed. I'll start on a scarf and see how that goes!

Sorry to hear about that thumb. Wow! That must hurt. Yes, I think we're all tired. I've been baking since we had the infernal wind today but it's died down tonight so maybe I can do outside work in the morning before I start more baking. I made choc. chip cookies and have peanut butter ones in the oven now. Tomorrow I'll make sugar cookies as they're more in keeping with Christmas but I have grandson's requests..... I'm going to make some lemon curd maybe Friday since I'll be gone Thursday. My neighbors and I always swap something we've made. I hope to make some fudge also. I want to make some bread to give with the lemon curd but bread doesn't take long. I can do other things while it's rising.
I still haven't thought much aboput the patterns I'm going to use for the swap but I can browse my books when I sit down and put my feet up....maybe next year?
