Think happy thoughts and remember the good memories I have about 10 done, been working or trying to on the quilt block swap and some for a fellow BYCer, that have a deadline first, the granny's go way faster Have to go clean out my hatcher for a load of quail due this weekend, then some of my barnyard "girls" the mid of next week, then in a couple weeks some dark yummy-looking Marans eggs. We had gotten a rescue cocker about a month ago that is so small, but lo and behold she went into heat the past weekend and with 2 intact males she had an emergent spaying this week so gonna snuggle with my Baylee....

Enjoy your new dog! My animals are the best therapy of all! My large male german shepherd is mad at me right now though. There's too much snow out there to play ball and he lives for playing ball! Poor guy. Tried yesterday but it was a comical disaster.

LOL, I have a guy here too that loves his ball, I have to corral him inside once in a while so the others can play...Mine will push a basketball around the yard (over half acre) with his nose endlessly until he hits a roadblock with it, he'll nudge it a few times into where ever it's stuck...then we hear the whine...okay who gets to go get Denali's ball loose... He's not the brightest tool in the shed, but we love him ....

Yeah! It's fixed. Wonderful. Of course I'm signed up twice now and with two e-mail addresses but I can unsubscribe from the other. I think I'll see about changing to desert willow though if I can, if not Oh! Well! Maybe now we can get down to concentrating on the blocks. I would like everyone that signed up to check in and see how things are going. I'll be closing the sign ups on the 28th.

I didnt' get a response to my pic of the square I posted. I don't want to make more if you don't like them. They take some time to make. At least for me. I also plan to make some Yellow roses too.

Anyone have a preference to the color of the last round? Black okay? Brown ? Lighter color green? Those are ugly and I hate them?

Rancher I think your pattern is so lovely! I bet it does take some effort to make. The color theme for this swap is "cool" colors like the color wheel shown above. I think a nice cool green would be nice to finish the round behind the floral part to be kind of like leaves. I want to do a floral squares as well and that's how I think I want to finish mine out, but need to play around w/ the colors. Oh yea I need to go buy some green yarn, b/c what I have in my stash is too bright for this swap's color scheme. I think I'm going to look for a mossy color. I don't know. It takes me forever to pick colors. LOL!!!

OK I finally settled on a pattern. I will probably vary the colors a little to keep from getting bored. I had to use the camera on my phone, which isn't great but here is the finished pattern.



Oops! That came out huge! I guess we no longer have the option of displaying a pic at different sizes. I need to tweak the outer row a bit. Stitches still aren't quite right.

My monitor makes the teal color look more blue and the purple doesn't show up well but in person the colors look great together! IDK if I will do 2 sets yet. If I do I will choose a simple pattern for the second set.
