Spring Granny Square Swap

I'd also love to have one of those white squares! Ask her to send them anyway, ending up with a WIDE variety is pretty much the point of this - isn't it?

I will talk to her today and see if I can do that. I love the pattern with the white, lavender, and green,,,, she really is talented, especially for a girl that just turned 9! This is her second year in the club. She did a really pretty large granny square throw with fall colors we might put on our Etsy site.

Good Morning Everyone~

Has our final # of participants been confirmed? I have only 6 squares complete. Not feeling well today, so I think I'm going to curl up w/ my yarn and hook and play around w/ some more designs. All patterns I've tried so far are from the book, 101 Crochet Squares by Jean Leinhauser. I'll try to post a pic later.

Happy Hookin' Hump Day!

Good morning everyone. It's a cold windy day here so guess I'm housebound and that means housework. I can't dust until after the wind dies down as the house will be coated when it's all over with sometime tomorrow. It's DH's day off and I was hoping to work in the garden but you can't work with 40-50 mph winds.

On that note I will change to the subject on hand and that is the swap. Over the next few days I will be editing the original posts as some of the people I've contacted have opted out of the swap. I removed two this morning and there may be more. I still have a few more to contact and will do that today. There are 14 now on the list and add three more to Kate's name for her students. (17) That's still a good number. I am working on a third set so we should still have a good number to exchange. Is everyone in agreement with dividing them up equally? If anyone wants the same number back that they send please let me know and I will do it that way.

On sending return postage you might want to add a little extra since you will be receiving more than a single set if that is what you send in. If you use a flat rate box or envelope then it won't matter, it will be the same no matter what the weight. If I have forgotten anything, please bring it to my attention. I want this to be fun for all of us as well as receiving some very lovely blocks that have been made with love. I can't think of a better afghan to have.

For some reason I am back to hving to check into BYC for posts. Even my PM's

Just so I'm clear. I have to mail these on what date? In what box? If I send postage for a large priority flat rate box that will be ok? or the small one? I doubt they'll fit in the TY bags they sell.

How you divide them doesn't matter to me. I'm just glad to be apart of this.

Rancher~ I think baustin (Betty) needs the swaps at her house by April 28th, if I read her post correctly. She would like each one tagged w/ your name and placed in a plastic baggie. You can mail them to her any way you like and include return postage w/ the swaps. I think a med flat rate box worked well for a lot of people in the last swap.I hope this helps.

I'm back to not getting my posts except for PM's so I'll have to check in a couple of times a day. It would be nice to have all blocks in the mail by the 28th so I have time to sort and remail them. One of the reasons for this is so Kate's class can get their blocks before school lets out. You can mail them before if you have them ready and the flat rate boxes are ideal as you do know the postage no matter the weight.

Please remembe to PM me so I can give you my address and make sure you give me your address also. I'm getting anxious to see all the blocks. The photos posted are awesome. I am still waiting for answers to my PM's regarding who is still in and I plan on finishing the contacts this evening while my husband is at his Masonic meeting. I am working on my third set so I can be sure we'll have enough blocks.

With the number down to 17, I can send in four sets (need to bag & tag some more). Writer's club will get three in addition to the ones I made for them.
