Spring Granny Square Swap

So I assume that its a "go" on both squares? Then I will be sending in two sets. It's not a lot of yellow (pale) and it's not on all of them, but it is there. This is exciting

The problem I have, Rancher, is that I crochet very loosely. The pattern I chose says it is a 6 inch square. I modified (using some sc and some hdc where dc are called for) and left off the last row to get it down to 6 inches. The first one I made, I changed one row from dc to hdc and did the last row and they are a perfect 7 inches!

I, too, am going to do the same pattern for all squares but different color schemes. I have 4 color schemes to make. I've done 3 so far but had to stop to do my pieces for my CAL that I am also working on as the clue came out Wednesday and I had not started it and the pieces looked very intriguing.

Once I get the last color scheme square made up, I will post a picture of them.

Have you checked out Crochetcentral.com. They have lots of patterns and each size is sectioned off. So just have a look and go to the 6" squares section and pick a pattern. Easy , peazy. That's where I got mine. No looking at books and trying to make adjustments.

Don't for get to post pics everyone. I had DD make the color selection for my squares. Same pattern just different color selections.

Ta, ta ,

baustin (Betty) is the Boss Lady for the swap, but they look like cool colors to me. The yellow looks more like a light cream and as I recall she said small amounts of white & cream are ok.

I really love your designs!

Thanks all! The pattern came from the "200 crochet blocks for blankets, throws, and afghans" by Jan Eaton. Love this book!

Those are really nice, very nice. Where did you get the pattern?

I did have to add a row to mine, but figured it was because I'm using an F instead of the G it called for. I really do like those squares you made.

Really love them!!! Your stitches are great and don't look too loose to me. I thought your pattern looked familiar, but couldn't remember where I'd seen it before b/c I have that book. I haven't had time to play around w/ any of the patterns in it yet. Sunny has that book and I think she might have done that pattern for the Fall swap.
