Well I got home yesterday to 1 EE pip. And absolutely nothing changed until this morning. 4 more pips. So I left the 5 pips and waited all day again. I did sneak home at lunch and the first one was starting to zip.
I checked the chick cam (which is still watching the preggo dog) and the dog is sleeping. But somebody had to have hatched because there is a lot of little chicky noises in the background on our camera.
And guess what.... I get to work late this evening. The joy of it all! I'm gonna go crazy.

There should be at least one chick when you get home!

"Normal" would be a little higher than the middle, but usually that is ok.

This was a mixed D'Anvers dozen. Only 8 made it to lock down, only half that have pipped or hatched.

TJchickens and a few others are much further south than me, and Kathy and Banti and many others are way north!!! So, I'm middle ground!!!

For the hatching. There is a whole lot of not counting going on!

Um, I just skipped the last 700 posts... was anything interesting going on?

2 of my (supposed to be silver) quail eggs hatched, both not silver

. But my order of chicks came in at our farm supply came in so now I have 6 new chicks! 3 white leghorn 3 buff orpington

My computer broke a few days ago so that's why I haven't been keeping up
