Squashed shell/egg? - day 19

Hi everyone,
I currently have a broody hen sitting on a clutch of 6 Barnevelder eggs and today I noticed that one of the eggs has been squashed by another one of my hens. It’s day 19 and I can see the chick inside is still alive as there is movement in the egg, but I don’t know what to do with the chick as I don’t think it’s ready to hatch yet. Does anyone have any advice as to what I should do with him? If I leave the egg as is will it still survive?
I have attached a picture of the egg in question. Thanks in advance.

Melt a crayon in a dish and dab the wax over the cracks in the shell. Put the egg back under the broody under one wing. Pat some water on the broody hen’s chest. Get something to block off the nest so the other hens cannot get in.

Do not open the egg unless you hear peeping. Take a deep breath and read this

Thanks for the advice it is much appreciated, I’ll see how I go. The only thing is that there isn’t much shell left.

If you are certain it is only day 19, do not open the protective membrane. Smear it with Vaseline or Neosporin gel. If you hear peeping, candle the egg to see where the beak is. You can make a tiny little hole where the beak is.

Covering the shell in so much wax will, (1) make it more difficult for the chick to hatch, and (2) there is odvisouly not much shell left to wax together.

@MGG @shawluvsbirds Do you the an incubator? You can also DIY and incubate with a desk lamp, a few wood chunks and wire mesh, and a plastic bin. I would separate the egg out and put it in an incubator. Make sure the membrane doesn't dry out by possibly applying coconut oil. Hop fly the experts can pipe in a help. Keep us posted, I will post a link for the DIY incubator.
