Starlight’s Training Adventure!

Pics
It is already 76 degrees here! Before I turned star out I hosed her off, braided her mane, and fly sprayed her. She did great with everything! I still have a bit of work to do teaching her to stand still while tied but overall she did really good!

Sorry - I didn’t have my phone with me so I didn’t get any pics of her.

Sounds like you're doing a great job with her!!

Took star on the same walk that we did on Thursday and she did much better! She did spook about 3 times during the walk though. Afterwards I picked her hooves, and hosed her off because it is so hot out. She did great with all of that!

Star did amazing on our walk today! She was a little pushy near the end of the walk, but we sorted it out and finished nicely. Star was trying to demand that I let her graze and I only let her graze when I want to. Not whenever star decides she wants to graze. And we did our usual hosing afterwards too! Now I am letting her dry off in her stall before I turn her back out. :)

That's great!

Ahh, it's the worse when horses try to yank you down to get grass. I don't really lose control over them anymore, but there's one lesson horse (Sky) at the stables I ride at that will yank you down if you aren't careful. Used to do it to me all the time when I rode him for my first 8 months of riding. He loves to eat!
