Starting over. Suggestions and opinions greatly needed.

My Dominiques are my favorite bird. I would have nothing but doms except for one thing. They lay very well, they are so easy to handle and they thrive on human attention. However, their eggs are only medium sized if that. That is the only reason my flock isn't made up of only Doms. My GLW lay beautiful large eggs, but don't like to be handled. My orps lay large eggs, but go broody constantly. I'm trying out some Cinnamon Comets, (a red-sex link variety). So far, they seem really pleasant and are supposed to lay large eggs. My doms are so special, they are my pets, but their eggs are pretty small.

I second the Marans story. My Welsummers and Barnevelders kick butt in the egg dept. I would recommend them highly!!!
