Cyndy, I was sent a post from a guy who told me he only DRY incubates, after several BAD hatches, so thats what Im doing. A dry incubation, until day 18, or LOCKDOWN, then water up to 75%, and no opening for 5 days, Can't open it till the hatched chicks are DRY. Don't be tempted to take out wet chicks Mommies, and Daddies. They'll live without food for awhile.
Welcome to the first time hatching post. I'm Bunni, I live in Munger and have had chickens since early this spring, May I guess. Some I started raising as day-olds, and others I went and bought already at point-of-lay cause I couldn't wait for eggs!! Im impatient. Don't how I'm going to live thru the next 21 days.
