Starved Gosling is growing, but paws are bowing.

Treating rickets requires 3 times the normal dosage of D3 a day for 2 weeks, for hens that’s around 600 mg a day until they’ve recovered. I think the 250000 iu may be too low.
Mine is very concentrated. Here I found something:
I have plenty of those packs. For 2 weeks it will last if he takes 1 per day.
Human needs 6000 per day for my memory. mine is 25.000 in liquid form. I think if this chart is correct. It might be good.
I see on younger gosling they tie their paws. I can do it with elastic bandaid.. and keep like that a few days.
I assume i should also still get those other 2 items I found ..but they arrive around 2-5 days

That’s much more clear than what I’ve been looking at.

I found one site that said daily requirements of D3 was “3.” No iu, no mg or mcg listed, just 3? Then another site had “200” also without any explanation of measurement either which is beyond frustrating. 200 what?
I was looking around here and people keep mentioning 600mg but on looking at older posts it was originally 600mg for calcium, not d3 and I think people have been confusing the two since which isn’t good.

As for the other items, they both look like good mixes to me.

@Miss Lydia do you have any advice on splints for goslings?

I noticed some are buying these https://www.mypetchicken.com/products/splints-for-curled-toe-broken-legs-broken-feet-4-sizes

I always just rec making your own. By using a plastic container cut it to the shape of his foot then wrap it in tape to cover all sharp edges lay his foot onto it and wrap going up around the ankle so he doesn't get it off easily. Make sure when using vet wrap not to wrap too tight as to cut off circulation. This is for a shoe to keep the foot laying normal. as for keep the leg from twisting I would think the splints you buy would be better since it has a piece going up the leg.

Is there a chance you can show me how exactly it looks like, the splint to hold the legs from bowing, the paw part I think will be easy to make, for now I see multiple different pieces on google and not exactly sure how they work, will he be able to lay down and does it have to be on him 24/7?
I doubt I will be able to order in time and realistic price, since am in Italy and so far I see these products are in US. But I can ask a friend to 3d print something similar, if I know which one is needed and how it looks, but only by Sunday. I hope it's not too late. 😢

I'll see if I can find a picture I've never had to make a splint of shoes for mine. I would think this would have to be worn 24/7 just to make sure the leg stays at the right angle and doesn't continue to turn in. is etsy only in the US? here is another place that sells them

Maybe you could tag @casportpony

I've been looking for over an hour online and can't find any pictures but I am thinking maybe @casportpony might be able to help. I just hope she see the tag.

I left out of town for a few days and left gosling with friend, we had a relapse and golsling got very sick, but now seems to recover. In all the chaos, the gosling has worsened the paw. I have splints for paws ready, but I couldn't use them since gosling couldn't stay up for past days.

Now that he can somehow stay up, I discovered he has a Slipped tendon after researching.
I put it back with fingers and a bandage can hold it somehow too. But is it curable? It pops back out if i loosen the bandage if it's not supported.

Please help. Am not sure if I should give up or how bad this is or how long there is a point to keep trying, I won't be able to take care of adult handicap goose.

https://duckdvm.com/condition/slipped-tendon don't know if this will be helpful I'll keep looking
I put him the 8 bandage, as much as i could without blocking circulation and causing discomfort.

I just am starting to loose hope and I don't know if what am doing will have him walk without my help , even if weird or crooked, just if he can be independent adult goose.
How long should I realistically set the time for him to fix his feet before giving up?

I gave him vitamin B full complex for humans too, human dose pill dusted and put in with mealworms..and gave active charcoal slurry to wash out any toxins.
