I've tried maple syrup once on a pancake and was taken aback by it's taste. Maybe I should try it again somedayI put honey in a lot of things but I use maple syrup for things like coffee and cocoa. It bothers me that I can taste the honey so well if I have it in a drink, but doesn't bother me in baked goods.
Do you happen to remember what grade you tried? If it was too dark tasting, you can try getting the lightest amber available. Personally, I like a darker taste, but I know some people aren't used to that. It was really dark.
My understanding was that the nutrition information was the same or very close, but the taste is different.
I will have to beg to differ on that one. Honey plus coffee is not delicious lol. I love ginger tea! I use ginger for upset stomach and it works well for me.More on Honey
Honey is great in coffee and just as delicious in cocoa. Cocoa is good for the heart so it's been said by many.
