Lovely thunderstorm coming through. I ate my lunch on the covered porch and watched it blow in. No sooner did I get my laundry on the line, and it started raining - ah well, they are already wet.

Tucker is just sooooo cute!!!!!! Anything new on Jack's limp? We have two mini donkeys and just had to treat one with iodine for a foot problem.

We heard the most god-awful sound coming from the brooder house today. It was my 5.5 WEEK old Pavlovskaja baby crowing. Just standing up and crowing over and over! I put my video camera on the railing and turned it on for 45 minutes and he never made another sound. I'll catch him tomorrow because he crowed all morning and again this evening. It is just about the cutest sound I have ever heard from a chicken! All Michael could say was "What the hell?"

Still trying to use up the tomatoes from my garden. I made Shakshuka and a homemade roasted tomato sauce, which I ate by the spoonfull.

I have a tomato basil pie in the oven right now.
