Mary I think you should canvas the neighborhood. Everyone is probably feuding with each other. How do they feel about chickens? I think the people selling had a lot of reasons to move.

The people who are moving overextended themselves with refi's and second mortgages. They owe way more than the house is worth. I believe they subdivided the land to sell part and dig themselves out, but it didn't sell until just recently so they had to go the short sale route.

You might have to invest in a plot survey so you've got legal proof of the location of your property lines And they usually show right of ways on there also.

We don't "find" them, they are out there everywhere. We just have a better chance of running into them because we move so much!

My ninety year old Dad just enrolled in the Artisan Bread Class! He thought the video would be easier. I am excited and scared at the same time! My phone is gonna' ring off the hook!

I think that is fabulous!

Spring fever?

Mmm-hmm. So far 3 dozen incubating, 3 more to arrive next week can't wait!

I have chicks hatching again.  I traded away 8 for some help coop cleaning. These new chicks will take priority. A C. Rock has hatched and I'm hoping some of the Dels do too.  A few pips have me hopeful.

Here we go again! Welcome to country living in California!

Wow, no fun - one of the first things that happened when I bought my property was a dispute with the neighbor over a property line. At one point, I had my tractor bucket right up against the fence he built on my land, but decided to go ahead and handle it legally. Which fortunately we were able to do.

We don't "find" them, they are out there everywhere. We just have a better chance of running into them because we move so much!

Not so fast, my Dad already dropped out of the bread making class. He hated it, said he couldn't understand a word the instructor said.

The problem is not the instructor, it's my Dad. He is severely hearing impaired and refuses to wear a hearing aid. Then he turns the volume up on everything so high that it is distorted. Old dog, new trick.

He did take me ice fishing this weekend, the ice on Munuscong Bay north of here is still almost three feet thick. The Sun was shining, and it was almost 50 degrees out on the ice. We caught perch, walleye, and pike, all really excellent eating.

When my grandmother, my Dad's mother did the same thing he always said, "If I ever get like that tell me!" Well, he is worse than she was and denies he has a hearing problem or needs a hearing aid. The neighbors complain about the volume on their television and it is not an apartment or condo!

Such a drag living in a house that is for sale. I want to trash my kitchen cooking today, but I can't. We have a showing between 1:30 and 2:00 p.m. Afterward it will be to late to cook and shoot photos for my blog.

The people who verbally accepted our offer on their house never followed through with signing the contract which expired on Friday.

Mary, you are not alone! I think the people like that are put here just to heckle us.

I have a family that had 3 boys next door . One had a live- in for awhile and left the older of her sons there. Then there were 4 20ish males. one died of drugs, The other three and two sons and live- ins are over there. Within 100 ft of my home where I have owned way over 20 yrs. What a mess. When they moved in we had to have the land surveyed and actually ended up putting in a fence before the father accepted that he could not build over on us. Just up to the line. The father and one son are gone now but the other 3 young men and their mother are still there.Oh and their girlfriends with babies too. I could accept that if they were not loud and provane with each other. I hate cursing and they know every word except any acceptable ones. Sometimes they get angry and start shooting an ak47 there too. One day something terrible is going to go down . Everyone but them know it. Drugs, guns, girlfriends and alcohol do not mix with wicked tempers to boot.
