I moved 8 times in 13 years, not counting the twice yearly moves in college. Each move involved purging a lot of stuff - sometimes I would move things that had not even been unpacked. Apart from family heirlooms I learned to give up a lot of that stuff. I have found that the longer you stay in one spot, the more stuff you have to sort through, so 36 years is probably going to be a big job. And having a big garage (or other storage space) definitely contributes to the sheer volume of stuff! If we do eventually move to Florida I am honestly not sure if the chickens will go too, that is a looong road trip. The bees and horses definitely not. The dogs and cats definitely go.
