What the heck - Mary and Kelly do not pay attention, or what?? They did not know Diva has no chickens? Sheeesh, that is old news!
I was happy to see my chickens. One broody that had 9 chicks when I left - has 10 chicks now.
3 broodies have 2 chicks each. One Wheaten Ameraucana has 4 (had 5). It was neat to see broody hens and chicks running around in the yard.
I can not thank my buddy, BrettMO, enough. In my time of need, he offered of himself, to care for my animals. He is an amazing guy, that one! Love him like one of my own kids.
I have tons of outside work to get done. Mike is going to leave tomorrow and be back Sunday. I look forward to working out in the coops. Really, I do.
Tyler, son #4, got a job back home (Iowa) and he will be moving there within a month. Brittney will never go back to Iowa, as she loves it here and she is some what rooted here.
It has been sorta exciting, looking forward to retirement. Now, not so much. I don't know why. I just don't really want to. Maybe, too many changes is why? Not sure....
The big downsize (you know, the ongoing one), is proceeding. I have made up my mind. I am going to have only a few chickens now. That is all I want. And Fred. And Tyson, my dog. That is it.
Warning to you all - heck, I may get bored and jump in the car and come a visiting!
