Yup. Near the intersection of Fairplay Rd and Omo Ranch Rd. 2400 foot altitude, about 200 higher than my spot here on Old Outingdale Rd. Five road miles from here - easy drive - no "engineered" (gravel) surfaces to traverse, unlike every other property I've investigated so far.
we looked up there too that is a nice spot for sure

Lukka's third baby is back with her! Good grief. Lukka and her two chicks and the Swedish flower hen have been curled up together all day. Last baby was still sleeping with her in the nest box while these chicks hatched until I stapled up wire! That's a big baby!

The last three eggs were abandoned in the nestbox and two pipped started zipping on their own! It has been hot today! I moved them into the incubator. I have a project broody. I'll try to give the chicks to her if they hatch ok in the incubator.

Last I checked they hadn't hatched yet. If they are fluffy and dry by the time I go to bed I will. Onehasn't internally pipped and still has blood in the veins. That one can go to the project broody. I don't think she has any eggs developing.

I checked those eggs again and I don't think they are so much pipped as they are stepped on. The chicks are active inside but the veins and still full. Probably hatch tomorrow.

Looked at two properties tonight- very hopeful one of them will work out! One has 10 acres and is out away from anyone, but with a VERY rough road we would have to fix right away. The other is about 2 acres with fruit trees located at the back of a country neighborhood which makes me nervous. Don't want all this nonsense to start up again. Trying to push hubby towards the 10 acre place.... but it is very rocky out that way and the property is almost completely wooded so we would have some hard work ahead of us compared to the 2 acre place. Found a good sized copperhead in the well house there though which had hubby climbing out of his skin....
