Oh Jason, a question for you (reminds me by seeing your picture with potted trees next to your tractor) Do you know how to keep away fruit tree borers? In the many years we've lived here, we have never had a borer issue until last year. I've painted 8 tree trunks today, to try to keep them away, but they are going after the branches. I would like to keep my fruit trees!

Nice, you'll really enjoy having it!
Nice! I hope Michael doesn't see it.

Thank you!

So beautiful, but you're on water for goodness sake!  Scary!

Little chick eats fine, it just isn't growing much.  I don't know if it's got some internal defect or failure to thrive or what.  We'll see.

Nice!  Is it a L2600?  I recommend the 9 inch auger attachment.  Way better than digging post holes by hand.
Smaller it's a b2320 compact auger is coming lol

Spraying neim oil or permethrin would be another way . Stay away from systemic sprays the best defense is healthy trees . Keep them watered and the root zone mulched

Nothing serious, I don't believe though. Just annoying....

Out in the Straits of Mackinac, with the Mackinac Bridge in the background. It is 5 miles from St. Ignace to the east end of the Island, and this year the ice is like a billiard table - so smooth!

The trail is marked by recycled Christmas trees, hauled down to the lake shore and out onto the ice to show the way. Not that I would go unless it was broad daylight with good visibility, but there are others much more foolish than I.
Time for spring and no more snow!

Hey, it's a big deal that my hubby is even eating any vegetables besides canned green beans and potatoes now. He eats stir fry sometimes with actual squash in it. As a kid, he wouldn't touch squash, period. His mother really didn't know how to cook it. They boiled everything into oblivion so you can see why his tastes were limited. Now, we eat lots of stuff and his palate has improved/changed. He'd never even eaten whole wheat bread and now, we always eat whole wheat/whole grain bread. I tell him I was a good influence on him. My mom put sugar in everything, including all vegetables, ick. I recall her having a slice of tomato with a teaspoon of sugar on top. :sick He eats much healthier than he ever did as a child. I guess I do, too.

One thing neither of us will touch is avocado. We think of it as green slime. I tried one once. Oily and gross was my assessment. I will occasionally taste guacamole, but don't even get that near Tommy.

Avocado is your arteries scrubber. It contains 8 grams of soluable fiber and the pit another 6-8 grams. I found out about this in my food healing class.

Good to know, but unless my taste buds change, I can't get over the texture thing with avocado. Will have to scrub them some other way.
