Stella's Social Club

They make a smaller McClamp with a micro clamp that holds flower stems and such for closeup shots. You can also get one with a stake on the other end that goes into the ground. You could shoot more bee closeups!

Mary, love the broody pictures - especially "dueling Lukkas," Lukka and mini daughter looking like twins

That McClamp thingie is really cool. Where do you get the mini one???

Quote: X4. Lovely shot Mary! I have had creamed spinach from restaurants, but I've never made it at home.

My broodies:

Lukka...sitting on Chocolate Orp Eggs

And her daughter Mini L...sitting on Icelandic eggs.

BCM: sitting on infertile eggs. I swap them out daily. She'll get some brabanter chicks to raise when they hatch in ten days.

Ooh, she's scary.

Icelandic...sitting on three Icelandic eggs

She looks like she'd take your arm off.

Now that you've shown your McClamp setup, you can see it is barely in the frame of the dripping fork shot.

Bird Flu and Creamed Spinach right next to each other.

I was going to comment, I read bird flu, started to scroll down and the first thing I saw was green, drippy and oozy.

But I LOVE creamed spinach. Whenever it's on a menu, it ends up delivered to my table. A couple of years ago I went to a restaurant where the soup of the day was Cream of Spinach. I could have bathed in that stuff. I have made it at home now MANY times. Spinach was my favorite veggie since I was a kid, it was always on my list of "What do you want for your birthday dinner?" Who am I kidding, the whole dinner has been set in stone even to this day, Roasted shoulder of pork, roast potatoes, spinach! Yum, heart attack on a plate!

the spot of orange caught my eye and I thought it looked like a clamp. When you posted the photo of your setup.............confirmed

It's those little annoying pops of color. I've been known to stand for ages waiting for someone wearing bright colored clothing to get out of my landscape shots. Too distracting. On the other hand when I was recently in New Zealand, it was the perfect thing to give scale to the waterfall I was shooting. I was happy to have the lady in the red t-shirt wandering around at the base.

My Peonies are trying to open, I only have a few on my bush so far. Seems to happen every few yrs..I usually get a lot of nice big pink ones. Will see how it goes once they are open all the way.
In the meantime, my rose buses are finally going to town. Here's one of my favorite colors. I have a yellow next to it. One almost open. Just planted these last yr.

That creamed spinach looks yummy..wondering if creaming chard would taste yummy. I think chard and spinach tastes very similar..at least to me. I have Rainbow planted.

Sheriff..that Marans looks like the more mean broody out of those two..really scary looking broodies! Whew! Keep your hands and arms to yourself.!

There was a place that made creamed Chard on Diners, Drive Inns and Dives. It took a long time to cook it though. Chard is a bit "tougher" than spinach.
