Can't put up electric fence because it is on the part of the property alongside the road where the county has a road easement. The white farm fencing is as close to the road as I am allowed to fence. But still, he lives four miles from here so there is no way he can say he thought it was his property! He was just being big man on campus and trimming trees along side the road that he didn't like!

This morning a quail jumped out of the pen. When I went to pick it up, it flew out into the pasture and landed right in front of a very surprised cat. The End.

In some places, the law is that a tree will be planted for every one removed. The trespasser should have to pay for that at least.

I think in CA you can request treble damages. They were small scrub oaks so I am guessing the value is small but they were my scrub oaks, shielding my view and giving my donkeys something to chew on. I may go for replacement with another type of tree.
