Jack and Diana both have frost on the tops of their ears this morning. Should I be worried about that?

We have gale force winds right now. I was driving back from the liquor store. Needed a bottle of spiced rum for a recipe and just as I got in front of my pasture the speed limit sign alongside the road broke off and flew into the road right in front of my car. No place to pull over so I drove in the garage, got on my Cricket and road back down. I got it out of the road but it was too heavy for me to bring up to the house so I dragged it up and laid it agains my fence. I called public works so they could retrieve it before someone steals it.

I am glad it's still 2014! I would hate to start the New Year off this way!

Jack and Diana both have frost on the tops of their ears this morning. Should I be worried about that?

They have very hairy ears and should be fine. I've seen the Thoroughbreds on the farm where I work standing outside the run-in sheds during a storm, totally covered in ice and and snow and they don't seem to want to even go in, much less feel the ice.and snow.
