Something weird like that happened to my friend's house silkie years ago. Friend was in bathroom and heard thrashing around. When she came out her hen was dead on the floor. I was thinking stroke, or heart attack but, she never figured it out. Said no marks on the hen, and nothing around her. She was young and in her prime- very adjusted to house chickenhood.

Anyway, gotta' run, having the septic pumped today and the truck is here. Yippee!

Years ago I belonged to a "house chickens" group on another site. There was a famous black silkie roo named Piggy that belonged to CindyinMaine who was a free spirited artist with a great sense of humor. I often told her to gather her Piggy stories into a book - it would have been a best seller. He was such a character! He even saved the family from a house fire! Does anybody here remember Cindy & Piggy?

Wow, I guess that would be one reason for keeping a house chicken.
