Has anyone heard from 'Other Mary' there was a massive wedge tornado that went through parts of Illinois, and can't remember what town she lives in. I posted about that on the Icelandic thread and also sent her a PM.

Yes, that's her.

Thank you for the concern. We are all fine. The tornado hit north of Interstate 88 which is north of us 15-20 miles. It is nice to know there are people thinking of us when danger is near.

We drove out to the new house yesterday while this one was being shown. A neighbor was out when we drove up the gravel driveway really close to his font door. Michael stopped and talked to him about how we are supposed to get to the house because theire are two ways in and out. Apparently there are easements all over the place including one "our" property involving just us and the neighbor we were talking with. BUT, there is a nasty neighbor to the right who sued him in court to block him from using the private road going passed her house. She lost because "our" property and his property have deeded easements to use that road. He said she has been seen coming onto"our" property closing what will be "our" gate and chaining it! Yesterday he pointed out new signs she put up, at least a dozen "private property" signs every few feet along the road!

Here we go again! Welcome to country living in California!
