Rob, do you find Morels too? Your woods sound a lot like the ones up here.

Yes! I have Morels in my own woods. It's like finding gold when they appear. they grow under my huge dead Elm, which was alive until 2 years ago. It's their favorite growing place. Last year I finally had enough morels to dry some in my dehydrator and I've been adding them, sparingly, to soups & stews. A little goes a long way, they are so flavorful. Same with the ramps.
Got home late tonight and didn't feel like making pie crust for quiche so sauted some ramps and added to scrambled eggs - yum!

I was on the phone with my son last night - eating Chocolate Bordeux Cherry ice cream 1.75 quart. When he said goodby, I noted with great alarm I had finished the entire carton. In fact it had melted and I used a straw. I was so distraught, that I tried to eat a carton of another flavor. Suddenly I realized I didn't even like what I was eating. I dumped the whole thing in the kitchen sink and ran hot water over it till it was gone (except the cherries) I was sorry I wasted the money ,even though I had used 75 cent pns., but happy I had dumped it .

I think this is a good thing. I hope so. I could stand to lose 35 lbs. then maybe I could see my toes again.
 
Nope, the ice cream hasn't been touched. I decided I wanted to put it on top of a warm brownie so i just put a batch in the oven. But, I forgot the salt! Yikes, I hope they come out ok. I may sprinkle some fleur de sel on top while they are baking.

Oh, of the 12 Pillsbury ready to eat cookies, I ate 2 raw - then 6 baked ones and decided to throw the last 4 out before I ate those too. Maybe I am starting to get will power.

They will be fine. I leave salt out on lots of stuff.

I made your lemon ricotta pancakes again. I forgot about whipping the egg whites and put the eggs in whole by mistake. I didn't have any regular milk to make butter milk, so I used almond milk because I had it. Since I forgot the egg white thing, I added a bit of baking powder to make up for the fluff that would be lost. They came out great! So my hodge podge baking has a happy ending and full tummies.
