Beautiful hen Kathy! And yes, I've seen the flow. I'm still not convinced. You still would have to manage the bees, it just replaces the honey super. Bathe queen cannot lay in those cells.
Very interesting!
Well, I am glad there are people like you 2 that take proper care of the bees!
Rinda,
Would you be interested in some English Orps?
I don't have bees and am very afraid of them but, they are necessary. That device looks like a 'soda fountain' bee hive. Just pull a draught of honey and chill with your friends!!
I am totally opposed to that. Everyone just wants easy peasy convenience and let the chips fall where they may. Geez they mentioned it had pulled in 4 mil. Maybe
I should have a kick starter to preserve my hand loomed potholders.
Quote: Red, Red Cuckoo, White, and maybe Black. This guy lives in Galena, KS but works in Joplin. He is selling out of all his birds. Maybe he is retiring? Not sure, but he is an older guy (like me!) They are all imports and he is selling them for $20 a pair. Some are just 3 - 4 months old. Not sure what all variety he has left.
Netting is stretched and stapled all with way around! Yay!
Stella gave me no choice but to do that today. She stood on the hood of the car and tried to fly up into the net and over.Poor thing.![]()
A car and a bicycle and no place to go!
Hardware cloth is secured over the window so we can leave them open at night.
