I like snakes too - even though the last one I tried to pick up bit me, but I don't blame her. She was a red tailed boa that my friend owned, and she had never bitten anyone before. However, her owner had neglected to feed her for a while, and so when I reached in her tank to pick her up, she struck at the body heat. She let go right away when she realized I wasn't a mouse, but those little snake teeth sure can make you bleed. No lasting damage, though, and I don't hold it against her, she was overdue to be fed and that was her owner's fault. Luckily she was juvenile and not full grown or the bite would have been worse.

Yesterday was a massive coop cleaning day on both coops. I cleaned them out, swept the dust covered cobwebs, swept out the floor, cleaned the nest boxes and put clean shavings down. It was exhausting since I have a large coop and a medium sized coop. It feels good to have it all done, and ready for *hopefully* some wet weather.

Today, my oldest son and I will be stacking firewood. My youngest is sick, so he's on the couch.

I actually like snakes, but will refrain from posting pictures of some of the local residents out of compassion for the OP.

Our corn has been fabulous this year, wish it lasted for longer but the trees are changing and fall is here - time to move on to squash.

I love you 1muttsfan! But if you have a snake picture and a frog picture and you want to post one, go with the snake!

I am off to buy towels bars, etc for the bathrooms. I love shopping but am seriously sick of it. Especially hardware shopping. I think I'll take Tucker with me to Home Depot in case we run into Kelly!
