We are still getting used to only having two kids at home.

#1 tells us that grand daughter #2 will be here in January.

#2 is busy working in Iowa City and his wife is in law school there.

#3 has a full scholarship and an internship for the City of Cedar City at SUU. He'll have a paid internship with the Utah State Legislature in January and then an internship in DC this summer.

#4 is over half way done with his mission in Italy.

#5 is in his first semester of college and leaves for his two year mission to Calgary Canada in January.

#6 is in High School and busy with Scouts (7 more merit badges and a project and we'll have SIX Eagle scouts) and is busy with his high school choir.

#7 is in Junior High, She plays softball for the school team and is keeping up with her piano lessons... and is a straight A student.

I've got my winter lawn planted, I have peas, peppers, tomatoes, squash and corn coming up in the back yard.

My polaris is not working, so that is my next honey do to get the pool clean!

That is impressive Dar! My oldest only has his project, he has all of his merit badges. My youngest has to take his board of review, then he will be 1st Class. I can't believe you had 6 boys before having a girl! You and your wife must have extreme patience! My 2 boys drive me bonkers sometimes.

I hope you have been able to visit DS in Italy. Still no luck convincing the wife on chickens, huh?

Just pointing out - I changed my avatar to Augie, my "auxiliary" rooster.

He's 4 months old and a mutt but I think he's beautiful! I know he's part Silver Spangled Hamburg and part EE but where that straight comb comes from, I don't know! He has little black stiff whiskers but no beard and his legs are willow. Somehow it all came together in a beautiful boy. He knows he's 2nd banana and so far, no trouble with his brother, the fierce main guy. (no name - not sure of his destiny!)

I've got to figure that out - they look so good before I post them and then they go all fuzzy and hard to see details but I'll try to get better ones. and his sister, Ruffle "the beauty queen". She's a character.

Taking a quick break to check in! Wow, Dar, you got'er done my friend!

I decided to hose down the front steps and patio from all the construction debris and dust. Just as I finished I noticed that the paint had started to bubble up. The stupid b*tch we bought this house from used latex paint to cover up the yucky porch and steps! What a piece of work she is. All done to deceive [potential buyers. She is a realtor for crying out loud!I may file a failure to disclose lawsuit against her after all!

Michael is out there pressure washing the rest of the paint off, then I will have to wire brush it and paint again with porch paint!
