Recovering from our 100 year rain event here. I think my area got about 10" of rain over the last 48 hours. In a nearby town I have friends with rain gauges over 14". It has been insane. We discovered a leak behind the chimney (master bedroom closet) and the floor flooded under the stairs to the addition. Again. Yesterday and this morning I was pulling 10-15 gallons of water out of the carpet every hour with the shop vac. I am exhausted. What a way to start the week. Just as the rain stopped it got cold so we got about an hour of flurries.
Yummy biscuits! We had ham and potato soup last night.Tim adjusted my oven a bit and I was finally able to bake biscuits this morning without them during on the top before cooking internally!
It still browns a little faster in the back, so I took some out a couple of minutes early, but at least it workable. I should probably just plan to rotate baked goods a couple of times while baking. I am making bean and ham soup for dinner with cornbread. I will see how that comes out.
Or worse.............separating all of the toys from the packaging.Hi Kathy! How was Christmas with the boys? Hopefully Mrs. Claus didn't have to assemble any toys due to Santa being laid up with a broken leg.![]()

It's been a nice vacation, but we start back up this evening. We've gone out to dinner a few times, didn't have to rush home from Christmas dinner, it actually was a bit weird in the evenings not having anything to do. The TIVO is almost empty.Whatcha doing with yourself now that you aren't tending to cows Mike?
