Hi Kathy! How was Christmas with the boys? Hopefully Mrs. Claus didn't have to assemble any toys due to Santa being laid up with a broken leg.

we had another 2" of snow overnight. I have some bamboo thats been boxed for 2 weeks that ups won't deliver do to snow.
tomorrow my wife gets to go to ups to pick it up.
i feel for the goats and chickens as there on the bottom of the property still buried in snow

Recovering from our 100 year rain event here. I think my area got about 10" of rain over the last 48 hours. In a nearby town I have friends with rain gauges over 14". It has been insane. We discovered a leak behind the chimney (master bedroom closet) and the floor flooded under the stairs to the addition. Again. Yesterday and this morning I was pulling 10-15 gallons of water out of the carpet every hour with the shop vac. I am exhausted. What a way to start the week. Just as the rain stopped it got cold so we got about an hour of flurries.

thats a lot we had over 6 inches of rain in 2 days here on Monday and Tuesday but i couldn't imagine that much. ours was bad enough even know we desperately needed it

Tim adjusted my oven a bit and I was finally able to bake biscuits this morning without them during on the top before cooking internally!

It still browns a little faster in the back, so I took some out a couple of minutes early, but at least it workable. I should probably just plan to rotate baked goods a couple of times while baking. I am making bean and ham soup for dinner with cornbread. I will see how that comes out.

It's been a nice vacation, but we start back up this evening. We've gone out to dinner a few times, didn't have to rush home from Christmas dinner, it actually was a bit weird in the evenings not having anything to do. The TIVO is almost empty.
