Sorry for not reading through this entire thread...but I need an answer asap. How do I get an "image preview" pic to load into my classifed listing? I have pics uploaded into the main body of my listing, but I don't have one for the preview.

How does one post pictures on this page --https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/homemade-chicken-feeder-waterer-designs-pictures ? If you look at the bottom you'll see a lot of folks would like to post there but don't know how. Maybe aside from here it would be good to have instuctions on that page or better yet a button that says click here to post your picture?? Thanks!

Breakout, I believe the way it works is you create a page as described in the first page of this thread:

Then, at some point after admins review it, it will get linked to appear on the waterer/feeder page you mentioned.

This is a good start for me, but where do you store your pictures and items so they are available under the browse button? What file name is it allowing us to select from? My pictures I presume? The browse feature only allows you to select items from one file. I have things stored in tons of files such as my documents features or others.

When you click the "Upload Files" button, it opens a window on the last folder from which you uploaded. If you want a photo from a different folder, just navigate to that folder.




However, if you have stuff randomly stored all over your computer, it's best you do some housekeeping and create a simple system so you can always find things. (that really helps for backup or migrating to a new computer)
For example, I set a dedicated drive to store photos, and have them all organized there in folders with either the month or subject as a folder name. Makes it much easier to find things. You could also do the same under "My Pictures" if you want.

Thankyou! I definitely need to do some housekeeping. I have multiple files within files under all different headings. I must thank you for the tips and step by step on downloading pictures. I suppose its time to show the world my coop pictures and beautiful chickens!

I just have a quick question.

I have not read through 10 pages, but I did go through the first posts. Is there a post requirement before the forum will allow embedded images?

I have posted some images with IMG tags from PB and they are not showing, I was nicely told there is a quota.

Anyone point me in the right direction or know the figure?

EDIT: I tested the same tags on another forum and the same images appeared in the post there, just not here. Sorry but I am new!!!!

EDIT II: I changed from using IMG tags to embedding the URL, works but I still can't see why the IMG's didn't work?!
