Step-to-Step Guide on How To Upload Pictures onto the BYC Forum:

Bens-Hens,

I see you got the hang of posting photos, nice pix you put up in this thread:

As to using the IMG tag instead of embedding the url, use the "source" button to look at your post and you'll see BYC is using more complex code than just an IMG tag for the imbedded images. It puts in a full hyperlink. Here is a photo, and the code for linking that photo.

Thank you very much on both accounts Gargoyle.

I am used to the IMG method and was told there was a quota (since found out that is no longer true with the new board). I found the other way but will have a look at the 'source' button next time.

Thanks again.

Instead of typing the html, it's really easy to just use the upload icon. If it's from your computer, use the upload files button, if it's from the web, use the URL button. If, like me, you're interested in what is under the hood you can then look at the source to see what is going on.

It takes forever for my pics to upload! what am I doing wrong?
It could be a problem with not having java/javascript enabled on your browser, (google search "enable javascript) for instructions). Also, I seem to recall there might be a limit on uploading images for new members with less than 5 or 10 posts. One other thing to look at- how large are the images you're uploading? Try to keep them under 200 k, there is no reason to use large at the size they display here.

When using the photo's icon, it takes me to "My Recent Photo's". Why doesn't it go to all uploaded photo's? If it does, how?

Also how can I transfer photo's from "uploaded photo album" to "default" album?

Not able to post a photo next to my buyselltrade text.

The "select photo" button at the bottom of window lets me "choose" a photo from my desktop (like I would normally attach to an email), it then indicates "selected 1 file".
After that I never see the photo with my post.
When I return to my post to edit it, it says "no photos found".

I read through this section and would appreciate it if someone could direct me to a "how to post photos for buyselltrade".
