Stolen Horse--Man is BACK in jail!

Everybody is staying with you on this and wishing the best for you.
I'm sure everybody is keeping up with this thread. Nobody will forget you.

Got some weird calls today:

The ranger called and said that he was going to be taking statements from me and the two other people involved so that he could present the case before the DA tomorrow.

3:20PM rolls around and I get a call from a man that I have never spoken to before who had told the ranger than he was the one who took my statement. He wanted to know if I had something specific written in my lease and I said "I left a copy of the lease when I wrote my statement." He said he was going to read through it again and then turn it into the DA. Um...excuse me? The Private Investigator told me that HE had turned it into the DA who had declined it as a criminal case.

What on EARTH is going on down there?! Why is it all of a sudden they are hopping around like it's the most important thing on earth?

At least someone is hopping. Keep notes!!! write down the investigator and what he said, and that he didn't know where your lease copy was, and all that kind of stuff. Might even fax him a copy of a sheet out of your "notebook" with his notation on it, just so's he knows right off the back that you are keeping VERY close tabs on everyone's incompetence at this juncture.

You know... just go ahead and bring in the media... honestly, out of embarressment and shear idiocy... the man with the horse, and the sherrifs office will break everything down so quick your head will spin, I promise!

Do they have one of those News on your side segments from your local media station? You should look into it... everyone is talking taking the right 'route' to get these done.... it seems more like a loop and the horse is suffering for it.

Just make a stink and put these people in a bad light.... end situation!

I would also be making sure you write down names. Something just isn't right. Are you sure it's not them muddying the waters and adding to the confusion in getting your horse back?

Shelly, that's what I've thought from the beginning, the sheriff seems to be in on this. Not the ranger, though, now he's stirring it up and the players are all getting nervous. I think she'll get her horse back now, they just have to figure out how to do it without any of them getting into trouble

I'm writing down all names, times, dates, things said...

I can't do it just yet as I don't want to mess up the investigation of the ranger, but once he's done and has handed over the information, all heck is breaking loose.

ESPECIALLY if the DA declines to file.

Yes, we do have the news segment that "works for you". I'm sure sred knows what I"m talking about. But I have a feeling some shat is about to hit the fan.

It will be fun to see the finger pointing begin in the sheriff's office after you get your horse back!

Sounds like some people are getting VERY nervous that the ranger is poking around, as well they should! Good! Hope this comes to an end soon with you getting your horse back. Great job documenting everything!
