If anything the guy who sold the horse after leasing it should be paying the remainder of what was left on the lease and beyond for loss of use. Legally, if someone wants to look at Max as property then RoPo was 'using' her property to earn a portion of her living. He denied her that money by taking her earning potential away. The 'property' should be returned to RoPo and any loss of value should be compensated to her by this guy. As far as the uncle is concerned...he's out of luck. He'll need to sue the nephew for the money he paid for the horse. As far as the uncle getting money out of RoPo...he had use of the property and won't see a dime. That is what happens when you receive stolen property.

RoPo WILL win.
