Sorry guys...a storm rolled in while we were riding him.
I got so excited just to be on him that I completely forgot to take a video. I was concentrating so hard on keeping DBF safe and in control that I just didn't think to snap a photo.
Epic failure on my part.
But, he neck reins like a DREAM! He responds to leg cues as well. He's still a bit stubborn, but he's SO much easier to handle. It could be age or whatever they did with him there. He was sweating like a pig by the time we were done...so much so that as I was dismounting the second time, the saddle slipped sideways with me trying to step off. Poor Max just stood there as I dug my nails into his side trying to stay up.
I've got the riding part down...it's the mounting and dismounting I'm awful at.
I'm so short I have to use a stool! I love riding though. I have Multiple Sclerosis, so biking is out, rides at amusement parks are out, surfing is out. There is so much I can't do anymore because it affects my sense of balance and equilibrium very severely. But, I can still ride! The balance of a good riding horse means they do most of that work for me.
How cool! Now I am inspired to get my big butt up on my 27 y.o. QH Mare "Josie" and go for a ride. She just got her feet trimmed today. She looks and rides so good for 27.
ROPO! OMG I had read through your posts on here awhile back and was checking in from time to time and I can't believe I completely missed this week and the return of Max!!!!
I bawled reading you got him back!
Congrats on having him back and he looks great for what YOU have been through. I am so glad you have gotten him back and he is in as good of condition that he is.
You and Max have been in my prayers for awhile now and I am so happy for you two - I don't have to say enjoy him and love him - you obviously love him to death and those pictures of him show how happy he is to be home with you.
I agree with you though - just don't worry with civil suits - its not worth the effort and stress on you - you've gotten what you want - Max home and safe and the bad guys receiving their due punishment.
