Stolen Horse--Man is BACK in jail!

Henry'schickens :

Do YOU have a bill of sale when you purchased Max?

That's the issue. I need to find it again. When I moved to this apartment it got lost in the shuffle, but even if I can't, the original breeder/owner has a copy of it in her briefcase that she is willing to copy and send over.

Sometime today they are going to be sending someone from the DAs office and an officer out to check. I'm hoping to hear nothing but good reports.

It shouldn't matter, the horse is stolen property. The uncle is the one who is going to lose in the end, especially if he paid for the horse, because in order to get his money back, he's probably going to have to sue. But as for you and the uncle, there shouldn't be any issue, you should just get some help from the police and go get the horse.

I think the Uncle is in a bind. If he claims he bought the horse, he's received stolen property. If he claims he didn't buy the horse after all, and was just letting the nephew keep it on his property, he might be an accessory to concealment.

I just wanted to take the time to thank you all for everything. For giving suggestions, ideas, pieces of advice, sympathy, empathy, stories...EVERYTHING.

Thank you all so much. It's not over yet, but I think I can see the sunset peeking from the clouds!
