Stolen Horse--Man is BACK in jail!

I am not sure. To my knowledge, I do not believe so. But, I have no idea if the uncle has taken him across state lines or not, plus, I couldn't prove it.

There should be no need to file a report on the uncle, your horse is stolen property and the state should collect the evidence, and file charges. It may take a little more pushing on your part, or the media. If it was me I would take the media and go to the uncle's property and demand he turn over your horse, if he refuses he that will be used as evidence that he is attempting to permanently deprive, a key element to prosecution.

But wouldn't I have to be the person to file the complaint? Just like with the nephew?? I mean, I had to file the report to get them to investigate, shouldn't the same thing have to happen with the uncle if I want charges filed?

If you have already reported the horse stolen, and they know where the horse is, it is their responsibility to collect the evidence(Max). You have already made a report on the horse, it is up to them to file charges. Now you need to just keep pushing, and use the media again if necessary. Max needs to rescued before the uncle tries to move him or worse to hide evidence. They need to be reminded that his life, your property is in danger.
