EXACTLY! You go through and alter those notes, you will hang yourself. The judge won't put up with evidence that is being thrown at him that has been doctored. He will consider you a waste of time.

One thing I know it does not matter if he knew the horse was stolen or not, he is still in possession of stolen property in of story the property get returned to the rightful owner and if the uncle is out money he has to sue his nephew has nothing to do he Repo, and with the criminal case Repo you are a witness not the one taking him to court the DA is (state) so its their case now, and there should be charges filed against the uncle the problem is the charges have to filed in the county where the crime took place which means a different DA if it is not in the same county as you are Repo so you might need to file a complaint in the the city/county where the uncle lives so don't quit yet there might be another Sheriff's office to deal with I can not tell if the uncle lives near you are not, but just be prepared to call and report to another sheriff it might even get Max back faster to go to that city police or sheriff with a copy of the charge against nephew and the statement that the nephew sold max to his uncle then the sheriff can go retrieve the stolen property please check into this as soon a possible maybe will get Max back faster. just some thought from someone who study criminal law.....do stop keep pushing and if necessary call the reporter again and tell him/her that they are dragging feet about getting horse back see what kind of heat the press can put on them, good luck keeping you in my prayers and send positive thoughts your way that max will be home soon.
