I /love/ how they're pulling the "freedom of the press" card while doing a "stfu" to our freedom of speech.

Essentially what that editors note says to me is, "We're going to stick fingers in our ears now and shout what we want so weeee can't hearrrr youuuu. Lalalalala..."

If they didn't want an outpour of attention. They should not have built a WEBSITE with a COMMENT AREA. This immediately makes it global, NOT, "meant just for a our loyal readers". If it was meant just for their readers they would have kept it to newspaper. Not put it in a place the whole world can see and comment. Just my two cents as someone who used to do web design and programming.

Additionally, as a programmers POV I can understand WHY they wanted to limit comments making it so someone had to review things before they were added, especially if their team really is as small as they claim it to be. Most news sites that allow freely commenting have enough people to clean up the mess afterward or a system to down vote comments as spam or to "mark as inappropriate" but that again comes back to team size. I guarantee none of those five people have the foggiest how to implement something that extensive - especially in what seems to be a small community of readers.

BUT, what I do NOT get is their anger towards us for this. Has anyone else accidentally clicked their ads while trying to highlight things? I have. Twice. They are MAKING REAL MONEY off of this flood we created. They have NO EXCUSE for any hostility towards us. At all. None. Even with threats.

Wow ... this is so INSANE! Never heard anything like it! Stolen horse,fled the state,and the flippin judicial system doesnt even care! What kind of world do we live in!? A very bad one. RoPo I hope you get your Max back,and he is well. And maybe,just maybe,if we hope enough,people will start listening to you! People dont think this is a big deal...but it is! I know how much a horse means to someone...more than just an animal to feed,thats for sure. And THIEF! Stealing is against the law...but apparently these people dont care. Its crazy...just insane.
KEEP SANE...and hope for the best...thats all you can do for now. Oh ya,and keep bugging people! They are bound to listen sooner or later!

Which if it were me, I would start sobbing right then. This poor horse was taken from it's home, taken gods know where, likely abused to the point it is now being called crippled/unridable, and sold off to someone who clearly had an inkling it was stolen in the first place.

Just another thought about the "crippled" thing. The horse was "too crippled to ride when he bought it for $350". ???? Now, I don't know about you, but I wouldn't pay a dime for a crippled horse. I don't think the uncle runs a sanctuary for disabled horses, so why would he buy it?? Not to mention that he suspected his nephew had not come by the horse honestly---he asked him three times if it was his horse to sell.

The good ol' boys are in charge here, and nothing is going to change. Let's hope the next judge who hears this is honest and does the right thing, good ol' boys or not. Anyway, it's a female judge, and she just might be ready to stand up to this group of home boys.

I'm not going to their newspaper link any more. They obviously are managing the news, so what's the point? But if you DO go there, google the name of the paper, Tahlequah Daily Press, and go there that way, not from a link on here. That way they won't be able to accuse us of all using the same computer.
