After he's a little stronger I'll remove more of his coating. He was just trying to open his eyes, wasn't working much for him. He's a mess between a coating of yolk and flour. Suppose he could have been Tempura...

Since I couldn't tell at first whether he was bleeding from the yolk sac or membrane still he got powdered a tad heavily at first... chuckle.

I have some hen aprons! He might just be one tough bird if he does make it.

If he actually becomes a hen I'll be delighted, I love tough birds. But everything that cannot lay an egg is assumed to be a rooster round here. Until it DOES lay an egg.

Been fooled too often...

He's still here, still breathing, and most of the yolk is absorbed except for damaged tissue. I wiped his eyes, he didn't like it much.
