Stomp!

Okay, tied off the tattered and damaged remainder. With any luck he'll finish absorbing the tiny last bit and the rest will dry up and fall off.

He says quit bringing him out in the draft. But I figured tying off the damage would help prevent infection. It still looks TONS better than when I found him.

Stomp is alive and peeping and stumbling round the bator practically as normal as any new hatchling!!!

Okay, I had to try to get more of the goo off him this morning so he could see better - goober on his head had caked down his feathers and stuck one eye shut. He's really not a fan of wash cloths.

But the tied off mess came off last night. He's taken some poly vi sol and is peeping and fluffing where he's not still a tad goobered or glued. He's neither graceful nor steady at this point but for all but dead when I found him, he's got it going on...

What's the word on the bird?

ETA - LOL, typing at the same time! Glad he's hanging in there!

So which do you think that Stomp considers more of a near-death experience:
- Being stomped into existence
- Being floured in preparation of nugget-ness

He's doing very well this morning despite the terror of nuggetness.... chuckle.
