It's 3pm and I have time to drop in and say that he's still up and doing well! He's more active, he's certainly louder...

Hope he doesn't develop a chip on his shoulder.

Glad he hatched alive and is still doing well.

Just wanted to add that we also had this happen to a pipping egg(the hen was new to being a broody and stepped on the egg I think). The chick ended up dying before it hatched.

When we found it, it was fully developed, had absorbed the yolk, etc. and it was still warm. Poor chick.

I realize it's the holidays and all - but any update on Stomp?

I lost Stomp yesterday,

he started to suffer.

So I tried and he tried, I hope I get to see his tough little soul back on the wheel.

It is always a real bummer when they want to live.
