Store bought greens

I read just recently a small amount of spinach isn't bad.

I know I am crazy but I only buy organic

This is what I bought last time and everyone (especially the ducks) LOVE it!!!

My Duckies eat a lot of red cabbage, it is good for the egg-color and helps reducing those green spots on the girl's bills. But it is also a question of money, 1$ per pound of kale for 24 ducks...
I'm growing fodder in my Garage and they love the fresh greens! It is also as "organic" as it can be…

Romaine is in short supply at the stores here these days. Something about potential salmonella.... it happens every year. Wonder if the chickens could get sick from that lettuce, too?

I prepared this winter and and growing my own kale, romaine lettuce, Swiss chard, spinach, snow peas and chives. But I sure aren't sharing it with the chickens, at least not until the garden explodes and buries me in salad greens.

Lots of great ideas for reference here...thank yall so much!

Basically I will buy them a buffet and see what is a hit. I always feel bad when they're down to just pellets.
That's why I usually do, I buy a ton of produce and just see what they like. I have a note app on my phone and whatever they like I will put it on my note that says "Flock Favorites".

I usually buy one for humans and one for flock lol Sam's and Aldi have good prices on the large containers.
Yes! Sam's Club is the best place to buy good quality produce, but in bulk with a good price!

DH and I went into Sam's and they had those sampling tables. One of them had those halo oranges and they were just perfect when I tried one. I bought a box of them and I swear they lasted me a month :thI was eating two or three a day!

I'm going to try this in the springtime and I hope that I am successful! I really suck at growing anything besides animals... I don't honestly think it's personally me, I think it's more the Japanese beetles :rantThey have destroyed any garden that I have ever tried to grow and I even try to use pesticides, nothing works for me!

Today for $1.50 each I was able to get big bags of kale, turnip greens, and a small bundle of broccoli!

Tossed out a little bit of each...

Chance the gander is loving the broccoli
Ducks seem to like the turnip greens best
Chickens chose the kale
Thunder thighs (BB goose) chowed down on all of it!

Looking forward to their pretty green poos
