Yay! How are they?
I just got some new chickens too!
A buckeye, a Lohman brown, and 2 white bresse chickens. They are all laying pullets, and get along great with the others. The buckeye i don't have a name for yet... (can I name it little red after your RIR Summer?)
The Lohman brown is called Daisy, and the big white bresse is called Blossom, and the smaller white bresse is called Emma.
They are so sweet.
And I have a quick question...
My little cochin roo, (I used to think he was a frizzle, but he is almost 6 months now, and hasn't gotten any friz. ) named "Dina" (it's obvious I thought he would be a girl.)can't mate. Every time he hops on a hen, he is so tiny he just slides off. And the only hens he likes are large.he hasn't grown an inch since 2 or 3 months ago.and don't start thinking he is nice. He will run at me, and I have to lean over him to make him run away. He also attacks the other hens. When he does, my massive australorp roo (Sugarpuff) will jerk him off. One time Dina came at me, and Sugar ran out from behind me to hord him off. So cute. But anyways, how do I help Dina mate?
Oh yes, and Hatsie Patsie is doing great. He did his first mating dance! Yay! And it was to Daisy.
All is well in chicken land.
How about you guys?
