Strange Eye Color? Update photo...

Thanks for all the GREAT compliments on Thelma!

Our neighbors half pit dog has different colored eyes. And I know alot of white cats are that way but being new to chickens...I was unsure if something was wrong with Thelma.

So glad to know she is just "SPECIAL". She really has a great personality and my best layer right now! LOL

I just bought a splash silkie youngster that has two different colored eyes! One yellowish-orange and the other is a brownish-black! I'll have to take some pics of her!

I have one rooster that has a kinda starburst thing in his eye. His eyes are orange but then theres this darker brown starburst pattern in it. He can see perfectly well though it seems.

Generally when something like that happens, two different dominant genes or two different recessive genes are present and instead of one taking priority over the other, both colors show up. Which means both colors are present somewhere in her background. We had a husky/malamute that was like that... one blue eye and one green eye. I also had a friend in high school that had eyes like that and everyone thought it was pretty cool.

Finally, a photo of Thelma's left eye! (I didn't post a photo in the beginning bc I had a terrible time holding the camera in my left hand, LOL)

Anyway, that eye is grayish-blue in color. I am curious if anyone else has seen this before and know how normal or abnormal it is?

I have a 6 week old chick with light blue eyes, she can see, and her feathers are white with light redish spots in various places. I have no idea what breed she is. My husband got some for me and didn’t ask what breed except they are bantams.
