Strange-I seem to have insect bites- anyone else-*long post*

From the pic it looks like flea bites to me. The number of fleas in our yard (NJ) this year has been amazing. And of course either they attached to us or our dog and they were brought into the house.
We had an awful time getting rid of them but I believe we have finally succeded! The itching from the bites was very bad actually causing me to wake up with it at night. And it took almost two weeks for them to start to go away. We wound up applying an insect growth regulator which prevents eggs and pupae from developing into adults. It was quite a battle. Good luck identifying the culprit at your home. Pete

I'd dust my barn boots inside with something too. Would the dust for poultry mites be ok? We have fleas in the house this year, haven't had this in years. So borax works indoors for them? Upstairs carpet, downstairs old wood floors. I will look this up. THanks.

Good point, I should dust my boots with something!!
Yes, if you google borax and DE, they recommend the borax for termites also
Not only can you wash with it, you can exterminate your house!!!!!

We used to put baby oil on our legs to keep the chiggars from biting. Might work even if it's fleas.

We went through chigger hell about a month ago. Everytime it seemed like it was getting better, I guess a new batch hatched. We mowed all the long grass down, and that helped a little. I was just thinking, this morning, that I didn't have any new bites . . .
