stupid assumptions people make about others

I have twins on one side of my family and the family have been told by outsiders "there has to be a regular or smart one and one that's stupid or retarded" so far none of the twins have ever shown signs that they were anything but "normal". the only thing I could figure is someone had either been in poor health when pregnant or had poor nutrition for that to be true, or just bad luck.....

You know, I've had a "gentleman" ask "what, are you a lesbian?!" because I wasn't interested in him that way. (dude was a good friend before then...sigh)

I also had a tow truck driver ask me if I was gay cause I lived on my own and did some work on my own car...

I've had people think the WORST THING THAT COULD HAPPEN TO THEM is if they saw their son playing with dolls...or a kitchen set...or anything girly.

Honestly, why does it matter to some people? Bah. Live and let live.

The worst thing to ever do is judge someone on appearance, you will miss some of the best friends you could ever have! My mom hated gossip and rumors and raised me to be completely unbiased. I never ever judge anyone. None of us are perfect! And i could truly care less what others think of me. I am very happy being me!! I love me and i hope everyone else stopping by this post does the same. Never be afraid to be you. :love

I always tell my kids that if everyone was the same nothing new would ever be invented.

Our son has a big sister so he loves dolls because it's what they'll play together with. He also adores My Little Pony toys. And he loves babies. They are homeschooled so he hasn't got anyone telling him he isn't allowed to like those things. Thankfully hubby is forward thinking too!

I run into lots of preconcieved ideas... I am almost 400 lbs... assumptions on my intelligence or slight little knowing nods when i have a big meal... and on...

Back when I was in my twenties I lost all my weight. only took56 pounds back then to get at my goal weight. One of my co workers stopped me in the hall... "did you change your hair style?" "No" Well what ever you did you look so much more intelligent now.... I just wanted to ....

.... but I said thank you and walked away.

Just have a conversation and find out what kind of person you are seeing... I been chatting people up for a very long time... Found out one scruffy individual that was coming in to a restaurant for coffee every day.... Drove a car that you had to open the door by working the latch from the outside. After chatting with him a bit ... found out he was the farm manager for the microgreens farm here in town.
Also found out he had multiple PHDs... Chemestry, Physics, and Mathematics... He cut the convo short as if he didnt want to be seen talking to me... used tothat one...

About a month later I was in the bar having a beer when he and a friend came in and sat next to me... they were having one of "those" conversations... deep in one telling the other something was true only slightly slurred. Mind you One scruffy dusty Guy Talking to the Tow Truck driver.... Then I heard Scruffy say "Yep all you need is a little Uraneum and a shaped charge." Tow Truck said "Bull...." "Your so full of it your eyes is brown" and ordered another round...
Then I said to no one in particular but loud enough for Scruffy to hear... "YOu forgot the Deuterium" Scruffy bout fell off his chair and looked at me for the first time.... LOVE them moments...

Each human has his own genious own brilliance own Passions ... name it. find out what that is every time you talk or interact with people... youd be amazed.
