So stupid me, I locked down my bantam Americana eggs on day 16/17 (in the middle there). I don’t know what I was thinking, but I read some people do that and all is well! Do you think I harmed them?

They are true Ameraucana bantams, I ordered them from gypsy hen, she has some fantastic looking ameraucanas. Take a look http://www.gypsyhen.com/bantam-lavender--self-blue-ameraucanas.htmlAnytime after day 14 has shown no reduction in hatch rate. A little good reading with tons of technical stuff..

If their true Ameraucana, what variety are they.. and you're spelling it wrong. If their not.. then you should start calling them bantam EE (Easter Egger) in order to avoid confusion. Many hatcheries claim their EE are meant to represent the Ameraucana breed.. but are not for show and won't breed true or meet the standard of perfection. (for informational purposes)
So is today day 21?!
Happy hatching!![]()
