stupid, stubborn tapeworms

DE will not treat a worm infestation. It is only useful in prevention.

Also, please note that tapeworms don't "come from" fleas. Tapeworm larvae are ingested by other small parasites (fleas, mites, lice etc) and then must be ingested accidentally by their host.
 
I'm dealing with tapeworms in one of my Nigerian bucks right now. You can get praziquantel at the feed store. The label is Zymectrin Gold. It has dose markings for 250 pound increments. I give half of that(125 pound increment). My buck is 80 pounds. Goats metablolize things differently hence the higher dosage. I give it once a day for 3 days, wait 10 days dose once, wait ten days dose once. If you have recurrence, you simply repeat the process. Tapes can be VERY stubborn just stick with it.

In the meantime, I also give 5 cc of Geritol once a day any time I see signs of anemia.
