Sudden death

The duckling passed away last night...

That's too bad..How old are they?. Do you provide heat?..
I'm not familiar with aspen bedding. I use pine.

Sorry it is pine... Too early for me. The younger khaki champbells are about 2 weeks and the oldest is almost 3

Yes they do have a heat lamp. It sits further away than what I've read because I lost 3 ducklings before thinking that the lamp was the cause.

Maybe... Its in a storage closet. My quail and turkeys have been eating it and have been fine. I can go buy a new bag and store it somewhere else.

I'm thinking botulism spores..Mold..Does your Ducklings Brooder get wet?..Something is not right?

Your heat bulb isn't made with Teflon by any chance?

They dump their water A Lot. I've been meaning to start changing bedding every day near the water bowl that's in the brooder. It usually gets changed every 3 days. (What I was used to with quail and chickens)

I use these for water..
